I was able to mount the power vision mirrors on my Toyota Tacoma door just by Ovaling two out of the three mounting stud holes and by using stainless steel washers.
Since the mirror bases are different sizes, I used 3/8″ thick mud flap material to create a trim piece to match up to the dimensions of the Toyota Tacoma’s door and mount the mirror.
It appears the electrical wiring in the power vision mirrors was 4-wire (2 common wires) whereas Toyota Tacoma’s mirror adjustment was 3-wire (1 common wire). I was able to wire the mirror to my stock Toyota Tacoma mirror adjustment switch.
As I was taping off the power window circuit as I wanted to move the power vision mirrors in and out, I grabbed the in and out circuit from that.
Rather than cutting into the Toyota Tacoma’s stock interior, I installed the switch in an encasement box that fit right inside the subscription box.
