In light of the recent purchase of a large travel trailer, I am contemplating upgrading my 2003 tow mirrors to 2008+ style. There are two mirrors I am considering for sale: the dedc or the trail ridge, but I am torn between the two. I’m looking for opinions of others with these mirrors. I’ve listed both pros and cons for each one as well.
The DEDC
Possibilities
*cheaper price from the beginning
*Measurement lens orange
Good reviews on a few websites
I am not sure what adapter I have so there is an adapter included
Deficiencies
*A gap is seen on the drivers side of the mirrors (seen on YouTube videos)
There are generally fit issues on Amazon reviews, which explains the lower ratings
Ridge of the trail
Positives
*The video quality appears to be very high from the 1aauto video

Best Towing Mirror For Toyota Tacoma
Negatives
*Measurement lens for smoke markers
*a few questions, like how it is wired and whether it will come with an adapter if needed. Will it fit on my truck?
There are only a few cons to both mirrors, I find the smoke lens to be odd without other smoke lights, which I don’t have and am not planning on purchasing. For me, the orange lens is more appealing. Although I would be content to live with the product if it is significantly better. As long as the extra money is well spent, I am not concerned about spending it.
Also see 1aauto’s power folding kit. While I generally fold my hood by hand (although that would change if I had power folding), I would pay extra for a kit that combined power folding/power extending. I am aware there are kits available that add it to the 6.0, but the cost is $2300, so I will not be spending that much money. Possibly about $750 would be enough for me. Hence, if the 1aauto representative reads this, and if that option is available in the future, there may be a new customer.
DEDC, a motor vehicle-specific mirror provider, offers more affordable options. In addition, it sells mirrors separately, so if you just need one driver or passenger side mirror, this is a great option. Some of DEDC’s more premium options include heated and power mirrors with integrated turn signals, which are available for less than some of its competitors. Depending on what DEDC offers for your specific vehicle, they are one of the best options at a cheaper price.
DEDC offers applications for Chevrolet Silverado, Dodge Ram, Ford F-Series, GMC Sierra, and Toyota Tundra.
